Well, I'm back at uni proper, and it gooood. Hopefully being back will banish the summer time blues, and hopefully I'll still keep to my writing. Actaully at the moment I'm 'working on' the Burden story. When I say working on, I mean thinking about, and attempting a little planning, although I'm afraid if I plan to much I'll kill the story, so yeah, meh But yeah, the whole thing has evolved rather a lot from the original Burden idea, and the Druids of Akabar. I've sort of come to think that they are just parts of the story, in fact im sort of thinking of five books... ambitious for someone who can barely write, I know I don't suppose anyone has any tips on writing a fantasy novel or five? Oh, and any tips/good books, for writing/written in the first person?

I feel like I'm drowning in a sea of mediocrity. I've never really had any idea of what I want to do with my life, except vague (and not so vague) ideas about writing, and I suppose getting stuff published etc etc. But for that I kinda have to be good, well, no I have to better than good, I have to be a cut above the rest, dont I.

So... here it is, a blatant request for validation; am I actually any good? Am I good enough? Is there any hope? Ha. Brutal honesty appreciated. Apologies for my brief moment of madness.

Yeah... I can't write... meh. I want to, but I can't. And whenever I try to, it just sorta peters out (as evidenced by all the stories in my scraps) I think they call that writers block in some parts of the world. *Sigh* This sucks.

Well, wow, its actually about 10 days off a year since i last submited a journal, crazy schit Hmmm, so i suppose i have a year to account for

Well, i went to University in Stirling, it was awesome its so true that life opens up after high school, can't believe how bad school was sometimes. Met loads of really cool people, did almost no work, passed all my subjects, and im currently living in a flat in Stirling with a few mates.

Unfortunately i haven't really kept up my music or my writing, as some of yoal may have noticed, p'raps. But who knows, maybe that'll change, been trying to get back into writing in the past few days, and its probably to early to say, but maybe i'll manage it Currently working on some short backstory thing for the Burden, just trying to get back into it. It won't be very good at all, but i might submit it anyway.

So, if anyone still remembers im here Thats you pretty much up to date. Tara for now (hopefully)

Well, got my exam results last week, and i got everything i needed to get accepted into Stirling Uni to study English... sufficed to say, it hasn't actually sunk in yet 'cause i never thought i'd manage that in a million years lol but wow, im actually going to uni...

In other news, um, going to a beach party tonight!

Yes, yes you did hear me correctly, and yes, it does look rather a lot like its going to rain... ah well Its all good.

Also, another party to look forward to before uni (and the 4 years of partying begin ) is The Cottage! Woo! Well, yeh ok basically my mate Adams family owns this two story terrace cottage in a crappy little coastal village. A few of us went their for New Year and had a great time, so now its going to be a end of holidays party. Should be good fun, although i think he's invited waaay to many people bearing in mind that it's called a cottage for a reason
